You asked and you answered. Here is a handy round-up of the softwares our #HigherEdSocial community uses for design / graphic creation - and what the differences between them are. Did we miss your favorites? Comment below which design apps you can’t live without!
Canva - A cult classic, Canva has a free and paid version. It is really intuitive, has templates for every post type, beautiful stickers and can ultimately create some great images!
Adobe Spark - Adobe is used by professional graphic designers all around the world and is often considered the standard when it comes to design software. If you already use Adobe products, Spark is a natural add-on!
Stencil - Very similar to Canva with an easy-to-use interface. Stencil also has a ‘share to profile’ option which is very handy!
Vyond - For easy video editing, Vyond is a go to. Although you cannot use your school fonts, it has easy text overlays which are useful.
PS Express - A great option for instagram story collages and up-leveling your gram.
Snappa - Marketed as the tool for ‘non-designers,’ Snappa is another great, easy option for quick editing and design options.
Photoshop - A true classic when it comes to simple but effective photo editing.
Splice - An easy-to-use choice for on the go video editing.
SnapSeed - A Google play app with rave reviews from #HigherEdSocial members. Great for editing with a truly mobile-friendly option.
LucidPress - Again, similar to Canva, this option has a few extra options that some of our #HigherEdSocial members prefer.
Stencil - Built for speed and efficiency, Stencil is essentially ‘Canva lite,’ perfect for those on a tight deadline!
MoJo - Mentioned more than once by members of #HigherEdSocial, this one is great for creating professional looking videos for Instagram stories.
Legend - Another option for creating videos and text animation.
Unfold - Another winner for Instagram story design with an easy-to-use app for editing on the go. This one is popular amongst #HigherEdSocial members and has been mentioned many many times!
A Design Kit - Easily add stickers, color, overlays etc. to your photos for a pop of color!
HypeType - Mainly used for animated text videos, HypeType is a great option for text-heavy instagram stories.
WeVideo - Great quality video production and easily uploadable to any platform.
